Who should join the club?
Students from ANY major! A business can only be developed with a diverse combination of skills from different fields (IT, marketing & social media, research & development, etc.) We want people who are passionate about creating change through business strategy and are seeking ways to solve an important issue in an innovative way.
Simply put, if you look at issues facing humanity as solvable, preventable, and impossible to ignore and think they can be resolved through creative thinking and passion, then you’ve come to the right place!
What to expect from meetings:
Our mission is to empower students to become social entrepreneurs by instilling the basics of business strategy and helping them understand the process for starting and maintaining an organization. Joining SEC is more than just an addition to your resume or siting in on a keynote speaker. We engage our members and help them learn through fun, interactive activities based around social entrepreneurship. Our activities are based around what members personally want to achieve such as learning more about social issues or about how to develop a business. We will also hold workshops and discussions about how to solve issues that YOU care about. We’ll also offer opportunities for involvement through our club event committees.

What is social entrepreneurship?
When a revenue-generating organization is created to address a social or environmental problem that reinvests its profits.
